Join Sarah for a weekend of yoga, relaxation and rejuvenation.
Arrive on Friday 26th June 2019 from 4pm onwards and depart on Sunday 28th June at 3pm.
The weekend will include Feel Good Yoga, Calming Yoga, Yoga Nidra (sleep yoga), a Gong Bath (sound healing) and a silent walking mediation in the South Downs.
The Venue: Gayles is a small retreat centre ideally situated in outstanding countryside in the South Downs, five miles from Eastbourne and fifteen miles from Brighton. There is ample free parking.
The environment and ambience at Gayles encourages an open, safe, relaxed and intimate atmosphere that promotes learning and self-development.
Food: All meals and snacks are included, which are vegetarian, healthy and delicious. Most of the produce is organic and sourced locally, even from the gardens surrounding the retreat centre.
The Yoga Studio: Set in the corner of a meadow and edged by a hedgerow, The Old Cowshed is a wonderful large, light studio. It creates a sense of calm and has fantastic views.
Accommodation: There are two comfortable, purpose built dormitories. They offer high quality and spacious single-gender accommodation.
There is also plenty of space for quiet contemplation as well as use of the (outdoor) swimming pool and hard-surface tennis court.

“I’m not sure how I can put adequately into the words the magic of the yoga retreat with Sarah. I do have to start with the food though! As a fussy, vegetarian self-proclaimed foodie, I was completely blown away by the gorgeous, fresh vegetarian food available. We were spoiled with breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks during the day. My body definitely thanked me for it throughout this retreat.
Now, let’s move on to discuss the retreat itself. The Gayles is a beautiful accommodation and retreat centre, which provides comfortable cabins with the usual amenities including complimentary herbal tea. The setting lends itself to a complete relaxation experience, including an outdoor pool, hammocks, benches, endless greenery and if you’re lucky, the chickens may pop in to say hi! Go for a nice stroll and you’ll soon be overlooking Eastbourne seaside and cliff views. Absolutely scenic.
Sarah offers a varied yoga programme throughout the retreat. I was carrying a minor injury which Sarah immediately accommodated and provided variations for which was very welcomed. Aside from yoga, Sarah provides intention setting, gong baths and history of yoga session, which I found very beneficial. All sessions are completely optional, so if you prefer to take in your surroundings or catch up on some books etc you’re free to do that. Sarah is also available during free time if you have any questions.
Aside from the flexible schedule, beautiful surroundings and tasty food, the retreat allows you to make new friends which is a lovely added bonus.
I found this retreat completely reset my mind, body and soul and thoroughly recommend it!”
