About Me

Welcome to Sarah Brown Yoga, a boutique garden studio in Crystal Palace, London, offering yoga, strength training, wellbeing experiences, retreats, private coaching, Reiki, workshops and online classes.

My mission is simple: to help people reconnect with themselves so they can feel stronger, calmer and more alive.

I take great pride in my award-winning studio, recognised as 'Yoga Studio of the Year 2023' by the Small Business Awards UK and 'Most Mindful Yoga Practice' in 2025.

Nestled amongst nature, my Bali-inspired studio is a warm and welcoming space where people can move, breathe, learn and grow. Whether you're joining a yoga class, building strength, attending a retreat, or looking for personalised support, you'll find a supportive community and a teaching style that meets you where you are.

I specialise in making movement accessible to everybody. My approach is deeply personal and shaped by my own experiences of recovering from injuries and major surgeries. I understand that every body is different, which is why I focus on helping people build confidence, trust and connection with themselves rather than striving for perfection.

With a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling, 12 years' experience as a primary school teacher, qualifications in both yoga and personal training, and a lifelong passion for movement, I bring together physical, mental and emotional wellbeing in everything I do.

Before becoming a yoga teacher, I trained and competed in Latin American and Ballroom dancing in both the UK and internationally. My training at The BRIT School included ballet, tap and modern dance, giving me a deep appreciation for movement, expression and the incredible things our bodies can do.

Whether your goal is to improve flexibility, build strength, reduce stress, recover from injury, or simply create more balance in your life, I'd love to support you on your journey.

I look forward to welcoming you to The Cabin.

My Movement Journey

My passion for movement began long before I discovered yoga. I originally qualified as a Personal Trainer and spent many years helping people build strength, confidence and healthier lifestyles.

During a challenging period in my own life, I discovered yoga and quickly experienced the profound impact it could have on both physical and mental wellbeing. I fell in love with the feeling of my body gently opening up, while the meditative nature of the practice helped me think more clearly, recover from injuries and feel more energised.

Inspired by my own transformation, I felt a deep calling to share these benefits with others.

To pursue this passion, I travelled to Mexico to complete an intensive yoga teacher training programme. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge through a wide range of trainings, including Hot Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, Forrest Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing. I am also a qualified Reiki Practitioner, allowing me to take a more holistic approach to wellbeing.

Today, I bring together my experience in personal training, yoga, movement, mindfulness and wellbeing to support people in feeling stronger, calmer and more connected to themselves.

I primarily teach Vinyasa Flow alongside Yin and Restorative Yoga. I place a strong emphasis on alignment, accessibility and helping people discover movement that feels safe and enjoyable for their unique bodies. Drawing on my background in dance, I create thoughtful and creative sequences that encourage both strength and ease.

Whether you're looking to build strength, improve flexibility, reduce stress, recover from injury or simply create more balance in your life, my aim is always the same - to help you reconnect with yourself and leave feeling stronger, calmer and more alive.

The Cabin Yoga Studio

Welcome to my beautiful garden studio, proudly awarded 'Yoga Studio of the Year 2023' at the Small Business Awards and 'Most Mindful Yoga Practice' in 2025.

Over the years, I've travelled the world exploring different approaches to movement, wellbeing and yoga. Along the way, I grew tired of large, impersonal fitness and yoga spaces, which is why I chose to create something different.

At the heart of everything I do is a belief that people thrive when they feel seen, supported and connected. That's why I specialise in teaching small groups, allowing me to get to know my students and provide individual attention, guidance and encouragement.

I believe movement and wellbeing should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience or ability. This philosophy inspired me to create Sarah Brown Yoga @ The Cabin - a welcoming space where people can reconnect with themselves through yoga, strength, wellbeing experiences and retreats.

My purpose-built studio is nestled within a beautiful green space in South-East London and accommodates up to ten students per class. Inspired by the peaceful surroundings of Bali, it offers a calm and nurturing environment where you can move, breathe, learn and grow.

Whether you're joining me for yoga, strength training, a workshop, private coaching or a retreat, my aim is always the same: to help you feel stronger, calmer and more alive.

Testimonials

I have some wonderful students who attend my classes, and I’m so pleased that they love my studio and my classes.

“I started yoga with Sarah almost 5 months ago as a complete beginner. Attending once a week I was nervous and worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the classes. Sarah set me at ease and gradually I have found myself becoming more and more interested in Yoga and attending as many classes and workshops as I can fit into my schedule. I feel healthier, I sleep much better, my joints and muscles are gaining flexibility and as a result I’ve found myself eating a healthier diet which has led to weight loss of almost a stone!”

Victoria

“Each class I do with you is more amazing than the last! You are totally awesome and a true inspiration. Can’t put into words how fantastic I feel.”

Dani

“I’ve recently taken part in Sarah’s yoga classes at The Cabin. I’ve been doing yoga for many years and I’ve been very fortunate to have been taught by Sarah in various studios around London. I’m so pleased she has her own yoga studio now, it’s very private and exclusive as it only has 10 mats. It’s very peaceful and unique space. I love your classes and I’ll be back every week. Well done Sarah!”
